Since starting Avon, I noticed two things about myself. That, I apparently like to buy fragrance and lipstick. Today, I am going to talk about fragrance. Avon is always coming out with a new fragrance. Sometimes they are limited edition and other times they become so popular that they become a part of our line. Currently there are approximately a dozen new fragrances out. How could I possibly buy that many? I have no idea where I would keep any of them. I am already running out of room for just about anything else in my small apartment. Be that medical supplies for my daughter, towels, cleaning supplies (I just recently bought a shampooer and don’t have much place to put it when not in use), clothes that are mostly given to me, and a bunch of other things. Kitchen supplies sometimes have a tough time finding a place in my kitchen and it’s one of the reasons why I now have a metal kitchen shelf for my pots and pans and what have you. Mostly because when my kitchen we remodeled to have a dishwasher put in, I lost cupboard space.
Initially, I only had a few fragrances on hand but then when starting with Avon, I saw that I enjoyed buying them. Even if I don’t wear fragrances every day, I buy them. Even the seasonal body sprays, which, get used as a bathroom spray instead of a body spray. You can imagine how I have to decide what to buy. Perfumes and colognes aren’t always cheap. So, what fragrances are out now?
Haiku is a fragrance line from Avon that made it’s debut in 2000. It has had at least variants. Not including the special Christmas editions. There have also been a few limited edition variants. right now there are three new variants of “intense” Haiku. Haiku Intense, Haiku Sacred Intense, and Haiku Kyoto Flower Intense. There reason these are called “intense” fragrances of the line is that they last longer.

Last year we came out with a skin care line called Belif that helped to hydrate the skin. They were called aqua bombs and I had mentioned in a previous article I Belif in Skin, that it was wonderful even on my combination oily skin. You could use it as a mask that you let sit on the skin for a about 10 minutes and then gently wipes off with a tissue. We now have facial mists that hydrate and cool and a sleeping mask. This year, we have Belif fragrances.
Energize your senses with an invigorating fragrance that takes you on a stroll into a garden, where belif unearthed the energy of nature. Sparkling citrus and dewy spring blossoms are wrapped in white musk for an unforgettable scent with a bright, fresh feeling. I happen to have this fragrance and it is indeed a bright scent. The container is good quality and a bit heavy. I love the color of it.
A burst of lemon zest and dewy bamboo, intensified with fresh-picked pear blossom and water lily, is wrapped in the sophisticated warmth of amber and musk for a fresh, revived feeling. This one is on my list. I like the idea of pear being involved.
Lyrd is a popular fragrance and now has several new fragrances (and candles to go with). Now, I am especially excited for these because one has cherry scent in it. I LOVE cherry scent, cherry food, and cherry color. Needless to say, I love cherry. Other than the fashion of at least a decade or so ago when wearing cherry earrings was popular. Sure, I liked it but it wasn’t something that would look good on me. Two of the scents actually came out last year but I didn’t cover them and that would be the two from the artisan collection. The cherry one being one of them.

Next is the Stefany collection. I have one of these so far and I will note that is a very strong and bold scent. So, I will caution that you wont need a whole lot to use each time. The collection s about romance: “Long ago a traveler from afar fell in love with an elegant beauty in the bustling Ginza district of Tokyo. A chance encounter to forbidden passion and heartbreaking distance, their love endures through hundreds of letters.” When I first read this, the play Miss Saigon in which a South Vietnamese woman and an American solider fall in love during the Vietnam War. Granted the play has it’s origins and granted the perfume is inspired by Tokyo, Japan. But I thought of the play nonetheless.
Wish You Were Here transports you back in time to a quiet, dewy meadow at dawn where fragrant notes of sweet hawthorn berry, ripe pear and sensuous patchouli filled the air, recreating the moment when Steve and Stefany declared their love. Fresh & Clean – Fresh floral scents with dewy, elegant and pure notes.
Our lovers share a life apart, but always together. Always Beside You recreates the beauty of a warm summer day long ago. Intoxicating notes of orange leaf, tuberose and earthy musk filled the air as Steve and Stefany shared a loving embrace. Warm & Exotic – Warm scents with enticing, emboldening and sophisticated notes.
Under a sunlit gardenia tree, as notes of black currant and delicate peach filled the air, their undying passion was professed. Fresh & Sweet – Fruity scents with bright, sparkling and crisp notes.
