Glimmer + Shine: 8 New Colorful, and Amazing Avon Glimmershadows

Love at First Non-Crease

It wasn’t until close to 5 years ago that I tried liquid or cream eyeshadows. I liked the colors. Soon I came to not use them as they were messy, sticky, and made my eyelids crease. Also, I couldn’t work my eyeliner as I wanted. Then Avon announced they’re new line of shadows. Liquid in form and also shiny. I only recently learned how to layer conventional shadows. Still, I am not as versed as your well-known YouTuber in how fantastic eyeshadows can make the eyes look. But I do a fair job. Upon learning of the new line I wasn’t sure if it was for me solely because of past experience. As an Avon representative it’s only fair I try out the product for honest thoughts to better promote it. So, I bought half of what the new line consisted. Choosing colors that have looked good for my skin color. First, I’ll go over the new line.

About Avon Glimmer Shadow Liquid Eyeshadow

Avon’s new Glimmershadow Liquid Eyeshadow is silky, lightweight and water infused. It comes with a wand much like the kind used for lipstick. You can build with it: either dot along the eyelid and pat gently to blend or brush over your lid, let dry a bit and add another layer for more intensity. There are eight colors with one of two finishes, shimmer (high sheen) or glitter (high sparkle). They don’t smudge or crease and dry smooth and soft. Great for those new to wearing eyeshadow or who like to wear minimal makeup.

Experience

As said before I was a bit apprehensive to try out liquid eye shadow again after not being impressed with previous brands. I oddly hadn’t done my makeup in a while so I primped my eyebrows (they were looking messy) and washed my face. Pulled out all the Avon makeup I had and started. I must say I have never used a wand like what this eyeshadow has when it wasn’t meant for my lips. Most of the time I Had to use my own fingers. I built up with color so I could really see how the colors looked. I did the rest of my face. At this point I’d forgotten to check if it dried smooth. It wasn’t until I had a tiny tickle that I went to gently rub my lid and not ruin my makeup that I noticed it was very smooth and soft. Also the color didn’t come off and on to my finger. My lid didn’t crease. IT didn’t have a sticky feeling with I opened and closed my eyes. I enjoyed it. I also stayed on all day. It was interesting to take off that night. It wanted to stay on. So, it is a very durable product.

Thoughts

I am very impressed with this product and the colors truly do stand out. I also used the new Glimmersticks Eyeliner in Raisin and White Out (lower lid water line). It’s hard to see in the picture. My eyes must have been moist because the white didn’t go on well. I hope to try again to see if the liners are good. I bought a few of those as well. Maybe a post for next week. I listed pictures of each Glimmershadow I bought. One pic I went all out in makeup. I like them all. The Ultramarine and Fools Gold are especially glittery. I did have a small issue of getting off the glitter with the Fools Gold but after gerting the color off I just used a soft cloth to pic of the left over glitter. I hope this post is useful. Before I link to my store I will list the ingredients.
